This character-driven documentary series was produced for Channel NewsAsia under the MDA PSB programme in 2007. The second episode in this heartwarming series was telecast on BBC World News in 2011.
The documentary series follows Singaporeans as they return to the lands of their ancestry (e.g. India, China, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia) in search of their roots, relatives and reconciliation. I wrote up the original concept for this series in my first weeks at TMVC in 2006, after my father visited his ancestral home in China. It was developed further at TMVC.
